What types of organizations can participate in the program? FundingFactory is open to educational and nonprofit, childcare centers, libraries, sports teams, scout troops and more. Is there a time limit to your program? There is no expiration or deadline set with the FundingFactory program. Active accounts are those that send at least one box of cartridges or cell phones within a 12-month period. If an account is not active, it still remains in our database and can be accessed by calling a customer service representative. Registered organizations are encouraged to participate year round. What types of materials do you provide to help us get the program up and running? After completing the registration form, participants have immediate access to an online account where they can retrieve FundingFactory’s extensive collection of promotional resources. This includes downloadable letter templates, customizable flyers, posters and other materials. New participants will also receive a Jump Start Kit within 10 business days that includes color flyers and posters to help get the word out about the recycling program; plus helpful information. Is there any risk associated with handling printer cartridges? Printer cartridges are not considered toxic and do not pose a threat. The ink in them is no more harmful than the ink that is used in a pen. What kinds of cartridges qualify for points? FundingFactory assigns points to a vast supply of inkjet and laser cartridges. A complete list of these cartridges is available here. Why don't you assign points to all cartridges? Unfortunately, not all cartridges can be recycled through FundingFactory. These include ink tanks, ribbon cartridges, and previously remanufactured cartridges. We are only able to award points to those cartridges that can be sold to remanufacturers. I have cartridges to turn in that aren't on your list, what should I do with them? Cartridges that are not on the Qualifying Cartridge list are not eligible for points. Please dispose of them properly. Why don't you accept ribbon cartridges? Ribbon cartridges cannot be refurbished, and therefore do not qualify for points. We have unopened cartridges but we do not have a printer that can use them. Can we recycle them and earn points? Yes, you will receive the same point value as an empty one. Do all old cell phones qualify for recycling? Most major brands of cell phones in use currently qualify for recycling. These include Audiovox, Ericsson, Kyocera, Motorola and Nokia. Check the most up to date list of Qualifying Cell Phones to get the current pricing. Do I need to send in any of the accessories with my cell phone? Please do not send cell phone accessories such as chargers, cases or headsets. These items cannot be recycled through FundingFactory. Can we redeem points for MAC and PC compatible technology products? Points can be redeemed for MAC and/or PC compatible equipment plus thousands of other products. FundingFactory offers thousands of technology items in our online Rewards Catalog. These include products from leading brand. Products range from accessories such as replacement printer cartridges to cutting-edge computer systems and everything in between! What kind of playground equipment can I earn with your program? FundingFactory points can be redeemed for any of the products offered by GameTime. Contact info@fundingfactory.com to place an order. Why don't you show the points required to purchase playground equipment? Many of the playground systems are modular in nature and custom designed for an organization’s needs and installation requirements. Consequently, GameTime must first provide the organization with a final quote detailing all equipment component and installation costs. After that is done, FundingFactory can tell you how many points would be required for that particular installation. What kind of sports/recreation equipment can I earn through your program? FundingFactory’s sports and recreation equipment vendor is FlagHouse. Visit FlagHouse to view or obtain a copy of their catalog. FundingFactory points can be redeemed for any of the products featured online or in their catalog How do I get a hard copy of your Product Catalog? Because there are hundreds of thousands of products in the Rewards Catalog, FundingFactory does not offer a printed copy of the catalog. Our vendors have their own printed catalogs which can be ordered by going to their respective websites or by calling FundingFactory at 1.888.883.8237. Do I need to supply my own boxes for shipping collected cartridges and cell phones? FundingFactory provides you with all of the pre-paid UPS shipping labels needed to send your cartridges and cell phones.Shipping labels can be ordered as you need them through the website or by calling our toll free number. There is never a charge for these labels. Do I need to pay to ship the boxes to you? FundingFactory covers the shipping of all boxes that are labeled with our UPS prepaid A.R.S. labels from your location to our processing center. How do I get UPS to pick up my cartridges? Boxes can be shipped via UPS by simply leaving the boxes at a regular UPS pick-up site. If you do not have a regular UPS pick-up at your location, drop the boxes to any authorized UPS shipping location. Visit UPS for a complete listing. Please do not call UPS for a pick-up. You will get charged a $10 fee for any pick-ups that are scheduled even if you have a UPS account. This fee cannot be waived by FundingFactory. Can I use a carrier other than UPS to ship my cartridges? FundingFactory only covers the cost of shipping boxes with our prepaid ARS labels. If you wish to use another carrier, you will be responsible for the shipping cost. Do I need to fill in any paperwork in order to ship my cartridges? There is never any paperwork involved in shipping cartridges or cell phones to FundingFactory. If you wish to keep a list of what you have shipped for your own records, please feel free to do so. You do not need to send in anything with your cartridges. The prepaid shipping labels already contain your organization’s account information. Does a business have to register in order to support my school/organization? A business does not have to register in order to support your school/organization. They can simply drop the cartridges off at your school/organization. If a business is going to provide ongoing support, encourage them to register so the business and you can track the support provided to your organization. How does a business officially adopt our school/organization? When a business registers online they must have your ID number in order to properly link to your account. If they don’t know the ID number, they can call customer service to get it. Is there a fee to a business that becomes a supporter? There are no fees for businesses to participate in the Business Support program. I don't know my school/organization's ID number, what should I do? Just leave the organization ID field blank on the registration form. You will be sent a list of participating organizations within your area via email. Select a participant from this list and enter the ID number of the organization that you wish to support. Can I designate more than one school/organization? Currently, it is not possible to support more than one organization, but you can change your beneficiary at anytime by calling customer service. How can I see the points I have earned for my organization? You can view points earned for your organization by logging into your account and selecting “View/Manage My Points”. Who pays for the shipping to send in the cartridges? All shipping charges are paid by FundingFactory. Just affix a FundingFactory pre-paid UPS label to your box of cartridges or cell phones. Simply tape the full collection box closed and give it to your UPS driver. Do all of the cartridges qualify for points? Not all cartridges can be recycled through FundingFactory and those that cannot do not qualify for points. Please check our list of qualifying cartridges. Previously remanufactured cartridges do not qualify for points and should not be shipped. I have a large quantity of cartridges to send, are there other shipping options? If you have a large quantity of cartridges that can be palletized and shrink-wrapped, please contact us at 1-888-883-8237 to arrange for a freight pick-up. How are the products in your catalog priced? The cost of products in our catalog is calculated through the following equation: Dollar amount x 3 = total FundingFactory points required to purchase product. All shipping and handling charges are included in the point values in the online Rewards Catalog. * GameTime products: dollar amount x 2.5 = total points required to purchase product. Can I order directly from FundingFactory Partners? When using your points, all orders must be placed through FundingFactory. Any order placed directly with a supplier will not be eligible to be paid for with points. Due to administrative processes, it is cost prohibitive to process orders under $25.00. What if I receive a damaged product? What are points? When cartridges and cell phones areposted to your account, FundingFactory awards points as a virtual currency. These points can be redeemed in the online Rewards Catalog for technology, recreation or playground equipment or the points can be converted to dollars and a check can be sent to your organization. Each point is equal to $.40. Why do you offer points? FundingFactory believes that points are much easier for schools/organizations to manage. There is no chance of the improper use of funds, no expiration of points, and easier redemption for products. Many participants like the fact that they don't have to worry about handling, keeping track and accounting for cash from their fundraising efforts. However, FundingFactory understands that organizations have needs other than the products offered in the Rewards Catalog. The CashRewards program allows you to redeem your points for cash. How are points converted to cash? Point values are based on the following conversion: 1 point = $.40 cents, 2.5 points = $1. To convert points to cash and receive a check, visit the 'Manage My Account' section in your online account and follow the steps through the 'Get a Check with Cash Rewards' icon. Do points expire? Points never expire. They can be accumulated for large purchases or spent in smaller increments based on need. What is the advantage of using points? The advantage of points is that participants don't have to collect money, keep track of money, make deposits or write checks. There is no hassle and no red tape. Your organization can get what is needed through the Rewards Catalog. What is the advantage of the CashRewards Program? The advantage of the CashRewards Program is that a participant can convert their points to cash and use it to purchase items they cannot find in our online Rewards Catalog. How do I register? Is there a fee to register? There is no fee to register, and there is never a fee for participating in the program. Why do I need to supply an email address when I register? FundingFactory depends greatly on being able to contact participants via email. We will never sell email addresses to other companies. We simply use emails to contact you regarding contests, new updates to the website, and for confirming orders and requests. Our experience has shown that staying informed through email communications will help maximize your program's success. Other schools/organizations in my area are already participating. Should I even bother signing up? Yes! More than 75% of the cartridges used this year will be thrown away when they are empty. Collect your share for great rewards! Cartridges can be collected from outside of your community and even outside of your state (Note: Please see the Business Support area to learn how to get support from local and national businesses). Our school/organization is already recycling cartridges, why should we switch to FundingFactory? FundingFactory was created to be a community-wide fundraising effort. Therefore, you may find that even though your school/organization recycles its cartridges, many businesses and community members do not. You can obtain the support of these outside sources and find the program to be extremely beneficial to you. We provide the materials to promote your program after you have completed the registration.
